Chia Tai shined with glory in the 24th Asian Seed Congress organized by the Asia Pacific Seed Association (APSA) from 13-16 November 2017 at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in Bangkok. The company was honored with two prestigious awards from APSA this year. First, the prestigious ‘APSA Seed Man Award’ was awarded to Mr. Manas Chiaravanond- the Chief Operating Officer of Chia Tai for his unparalleled vision and impeccable contribution to the Seed industry for almost four decades.
Mr. Manas dedicated his sincere gratitude towards APSA for the honor and thanked everyone who supported him during this journey. During his award acceptance speech, he also stated his vision to strengthen the seed industry by fostering regional relationship and promoting research and technology for seed development in order to benefit the farmers. He said, “This award matters: not just to me, or Chia Tai, but to the entire seed industry as we all are working together in the same page to give the true benefit to the communities, and more precisely to the farmers- who are the backbone of our economy.” Mr. Manas is the only Thai luminary in the region to have received this prestigious award for the second time. He first received the same award in 2003.
The second award that Chia Tai was honored with was the award for the ‘Best Booth Category’ for its unique design, innovative products at display and warm hospitality towards the visitors who visited the booth. The visitors came from different parts of the world and they were served with fresh melons and watermelons from the Chia Tai farm. Chia Tai is privileged to receive the two prestigious awards from APSA and looks forward to glorify new achievements in the near future. The 25th Asian Seed Congress will be hosted by APSA in Manila next year.
